Description:
- You will find editorial improvements throughout the whole edition. In regards to Yugoslavia, we complemented the biographical data of honoured personalities by their ethnic origins. Concerning the postage stamp series “King Peter II“ from the years 1939/1940, we have included a distinct plate flaw. The broken line that surrounds the royal ear is shaped like a ring. Since Croatia used these postage stamps as its first own overprint issues, this „earring“ plate flaw was repeated in three additional issues.
- When it comes to Serbian novelties, we uncovered two cases in which the designer concealed his initials in the image of a single stamp within a sheet. You need sharp eyes to spot this. Collectors will appreciate the information that Croatia has been using the Euro currency since 2023.
- Another focal point was the revision and updating of price quotations. Issues with interesting motifs are in specially great demand, which has resulted in higher price quotations. Particularly North Macedonia and Serbia as well as the Serbian Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina should be mentioned in this aspect. A Croatian overprint issue from 1941 has made a big leap, increasing in value by 50 per cent.
- This edition features all novelties listed in MICHEL Rundschau up to and including No. 4/2024.
