The editorial improvements are spread throughout the entire volume. The listing of Andorra and Spain, as well as their vending stamps, now includes references to the withdrawal of the peseta stamps. The expired escudo vending stamps issued by Portugal were supplemented with a corresponding footnote as well. We have also added the certificate of validity to several issues of the Azores.
We took a batch of sheet stamps from Andorra to check the stamp arrangements from the 1980s and 1990s for accuracy.
We were able to identify the bird depicted on the express stamps MiNo. 27 and MiNo. 43 as being a bearded vulture. Regarding Portugal, we also discovered a new type variation from which the colour black and thus the inscriptions are missing. Collectors of vending machine stamps benefit from more precise information about the “CORREIO AZUL” overprints. Furthermore we have also numbers of issue added to the Spanish premium sheets. This year Portugal and Spain are again proving to be collection areas with many novel issues. Combined, both countries have issued nearly 11,000 MICHEL stamps.
