Western Europe 2026 (E 3)
Content:Andorra (French), France, Monaco.
Description:
Our editorial improvements cover the entire catalogue. You will find particularly interesting discoveries regarding issues from France. Self-adhesive stamps, which were originally found in photogravure stamp booklets, were also issued in sheets – in the form of offset stamps, however. France continues to pursue its active issuing policy, which allows us to record as many as 375 new main numbers. These include many high-quality stamps that are produced using the intaglio printing process and frequently incorporate motifs from older stamps. In order to give collectors an overview, we provide them with precise cross-references.
The review and updating of price listings were another focal point. The value of the Monaco stamp MiNo. 3697 I, a European stamp that was mistakenly printed without the inscription “Europa”, literally went “through the roof”. We also noted price fluctuations in special printings from Monaco. Modern limited-edition blocks issued in France have enjoyed increases in value, while a few high-priced issues from the period before 1960 have come under price pressure. Regarding issues from Andorra, the price quotations for tariff-coded stamps have been adjusted to reflect their higher values.
This volume contains all novelties recorded up to and including MICHEL Rundschau No. 3/2026.
