product description

China & Mongolia 2025 (O 9.1) E-Book

Content:

China (Empire and Republic up to 1949, Taiwan, People’s Republic with FDC valuations, Foreign Post Offices in China, Kiautschou), Hong Kong, Macau, Manchukuo, Tibet and Japanese Occupation of China.

Description: The collection area of Mongolia has been included in this catalogue for the first time. The landlocked East Asian country issued its own stamps as early as 1924, but the independence of the state was not recognized by neighboring China until 1946. This led to the fact that during this period additional postage was charged by the Chinese postal service for letters from Mongolia unless the postage was prepaid in Chinese stamps. With the help of MICHEL, ambitious collectors may now expand their collection of Chinese issues with this special collection area.

The editorial improvements can be found throughout the whole edition. As with every new edition of a MICHEL catalogue, all descriptions and prices featured in the 2025 MICHEL China and Mongolia have been carefully reviewed and updated where necessary. In addition, we were able to include rare colour variations in the Imperial and Republic of China collection area, some of which have an estimated value in the three- to four-digit range. All collection areas in this edition are now up to date.

All novelties that we learned of prior to the editorial deadline have been included in this edition so that, depending on the information available to us, we were able to include issues up to 2025.
