Our editorial improvements can be found throughout the whole catalogue. In this edition our focus has been on expanding the information contained in the footnotes and including the details of the withdrawal from circulation of each stamp this pertains to. This enables collectors to see at first glance if a specimen is still a valid postage stamp or not. Concerning Belgium and Luxemburg, we have added the numbers of issue. In regards to Luxemburg, this pertains to last year’s novelties, and concerning Belgian stamps, we have also listed the exact numbers of individual issues from sets. Collectors of sheets are provided with more exact information about the configuration of counter sheets issued by Luxemburg between 1980 and 2000.
As always, all price quotations were revised and updated. The Benelux philatelic market has shown that it is stable, and the expensive showpieces have kept their value. Some tariff-coded issues from Luxemburg were even able to gain in value.
This edition contains all novelties listed in MICHEL Rundschau up to and including No. 8/2024.
