product description

Mediterranean Countries 2026/2027 (E 9) E-Book

Content:

Gibraltar, Malta, Turkey, Turkish Cyprus, Cyprus.

Description: Regarding Maltese issues, retail prices for EUROPA issue stamp booklets have been updated; the header texts have been revised and standardized. Furthermore, we were able to add a new type variation from which the colour “gold” is missing. Price changes are mainly found among issues from the 1920s.

An impressive total of seven new perforation variations were found among issues from Turkey and have been included in the cataloguing. While some EUROPA issues have seen a slight decrease in value, the limited-edition portfolio stamps issued in recent years continue their upward trend. We have also noted price fluctuations – both up and down – of stamps issued in the Turkish-administered part of Cyprus.

Regarding the “lighthouse” of Gibraltar – the £5 “King George V” stamp from 1925 – demand is clearly shifting toward cancelled specimens. Among newly discovered type variations are three that involve the watermark and one that concerns the perforation. Details of the pertinent sheet formats have also been added.

This volume features all novelties listed in MICHEL Rundschau up to and including No. 6/2026.
