Content:

Old Germany, Northern German Confederation and German Reich, foreign post offices, colonies, foreign maritime mail, occupation issues, plebiscite areas, Belgian military mail in Rhineland, Eupen, Malmédy, Gdansk, Memel, Bohemia and Moravia, general government, Sudetenland, field post issues, local issues, Allied Occupation, GDR, Berlin (West), Saarland with OPD issues, Federal Republic of Germany.

The MICHEL Germany catalog provides an excellent overview of all German stamps, offers additional information on watermarks, perforations, counterfeit indicators, and other special features, and thus strikes just the right balance between detail and clarity for collectors of German stamps. Those seeking more in-depth specialized information should consult the MICHEL Germany Special.

Description: Research into the “Separations by Postmasters” collection area has still not been completed in 2026. For that reason, this latest edition of the MICHEL Germany Catalogue presents two separations by postmasters from Langebrück in Eastern Saxony that were unknown until now and which boast a combined value of € 7,500.

However, the other collection areas have been revised as well. The Bavarian stamp booklets, the inflation period of the German Reich, occupied Estonia and the Channel Islands during World War II have been extensively expanded to include numerous new colour photos, the latest research findings and rare special features, such as watermark variations. In some cases, this revealed enormous price jumps.

Many German collection areas show significant price fluctuations, for instance Old Germany, forerunners and concurrent issues of German overseas post offices and colonies, the Sudetenland, stamps issued during the World War II occupation, field post, Berlin and Brandenburg, the Soviet Zone (SBZ) as well as FDCs from the French Occupation Zone.
